Angela Griffin has revealed her 'confidence is growing with age' after embarking on a surprise career move. <br><br>The actress, 48, who first found fame as Fiona Middleton in Corrie way back in 1992, explained how she believes people now take her a 'little bit more seriously'.<br><br>Angela explained how her new found confidence has led her to direct episodes of Waterloo Road, in which she plays headmistress Kim Campbell.<br><br>Telling Prima: 'My confidence is increasing as I'm getting older. When I was younger, I was scared of making the wrong decision'. <br><br>'I was scared I would somehow say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing. When you come from acting and go into directing, there's a respect from the actors, because you know what they're going through'. <br><br>Before adding: 'Luckily, on Waterloo Road, I have a great relationship with all the crew.' <br><br>Elsewhere in the interview Angela shared a rare insight into her relationship with husband and fellow Jason Milligan, with whom she shares Tallulah and Melissa. <br><br>Telling the publication: 'I do not expect all my joy, all my happiness or all my everything to come from him. I think that's too much pressure on anyone'. <br><br>'We like loads of the same stuff, and there's stuff that we don't both like. And if he doesn't like doing it, I go and do it with someone else.'<br><br>She also spoke about her upcoming new series The Wives, which she stars in alongside Jo Joyner and Tamzin Outhwaite. <br><br>'I can't remember the last time there was an ensemble female- led show. It's such a brilliant, iconic show, so I'm dead proud to now be part of its history.
